A Simple B'day Gift...

Today is my Hubby’s birthday… So, I decided to give a gift which he will use mostly… When I came across this mobile stand, it impressed me very much by its beauty…

Though it’s very simple, I liked the way of work done in it. Gladly, my hubby too liked it very much…  I love elephants, as it remains me of Lord Ganesha…

One thing, I need to keep this away from my kid…. Otherwise, he will break it just like that…

Thank God, we went to Velleeshwarar Temple as rain stopped a little…..Velleeshwarar (Lord Shiva) is famous for Eye related problems….

Here, I attached some snaps… Enjoy it….

Our Diwali Celebs....

Diwali/Deepavali is a festival of lights. It symbolizes the triumph of good against evil. The word Deepavali refers to rows of diyas or clay lamps. These lamps are kept on during the night and houses were cleaned in order to make the Goddess Lakshmi feel welcome.

Firecrackers are burst, which drives away the evil spirits. During this festival time, all celebrants wear new dresses and share sweets and snacks with friends and families…

This time, we went to my parent’s home. We celebrated nicely….

Hope, you all enjoy the snaps…

Siblings Rivalry...

Families, those have only one child have less issues with this topic… But, those who have more than one child, there start the problem…

In one way, it’s very advantageous. They have someone to play, fight, share, love, learn, etc….  The fight I mentioned is a healthy fight (affectionate one). But, when discussing about the second way, it’s very problematic…

Parents have to tell their first child, about the second one in a very good way… From the very beginning, they should tell that it’s your baby sis/bro… You have to take care of them…

When they handle harshly, please don’t scold/beat them. This will create a negative impact about their bro/sis… Explain them softly, that by their doing, baby gets hurt. So that, they won’t do it again…

Also, tell the second one, about the same things. So that, their bond will grew much stronger. Don’t ever compare them between each other. If one study well, then just say that, if u both gets good score, then you will receive a special gift from us…..

Its all in our hands, in our way of approach….

Saving Habit….

We must start to teach the saving habit to Kids at early stage itself… I also used to have an Undiyal (money box) for my son. Nowadays money box are available in variety of attractive designs.

I bought a money box which has a pot (kalasam) in the bottom, above which contains a coconut and a parrot is seated on the top.  It’s so traditional…  It’s covered by white cement at the bottom. So, whenever it is filled, we can collect the money from bottom. And also, again we can cover it for our reuse….

I even written his name on it in the front and in the back I have written the day on which we have started… Iam so happy that we have started on Sangadahara Sathurthi (very special day for Lord Ganesh)…

When any guest who’s visiting us, gave money to my son, I used to put in this money box. Also, I taught my son the same. If he receives any money, he will go near to our pooja shelf and asks us to lift him up, so that he can see the money box. He will tell the money box as “Kille” (we say in Tamil as kille for birds). I must maintain this habit to him even in future….

Also, I have an idea to buy something useful for him from that money… So that, I can encourage him by saying “it’s from your saving money”. Surely, he will think to save more without spending to buy something huge…

Actually, all these credits go to my neighbour sister… She only got this idea for her son… Good things, wherever it comes, we have to follow it…

Once a very big fan of Harry Potter….

Harry Potter is a series of seven novels written by a British Author J.K. Rowling. I was a huge fan of Harry Potter during my college days….

After watching first movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, I used a stick (to pretend it to be a wand) to put a spell on table fan like “Wingardium Leviosa”…. My mom was little bit shocked of my reaction… Then I told her to relax, that iam that much involved in that movie…. Even, I got dreams of becoming a student in Hogwards School…

The way I explained this story to my friend, has made her a fan of Harry Potter… In hostel, I used to read about 100 pages a day in an eager to know what happens next…

In this first snap, that paper clip was given by my bro as my birthday gift… He knows it very well, that I would be much happy by seeing that… That’s absolutely true… Even now (though he’s in London), he informed me that he had watched the latest film of Harry Potter…

I was just crazy that I started to collect advertisement clips from paper…. Now thinking of this, iam getting laughter of how crazy was iam….

Iam now busy with my family responsibilities, especially taking care of my kid. So, didn’t find time to collect like this. After reading the final novel, my eagerness was gone…

Iam sure that I will share this to my son in future, particularly to know his reaction… My hubby used to laugh and started kidding at my collections….

If you have something like this…. Please, feel free to share here….

Our Saraswathi Pooja (Ayutha Pooja)…

Saraswathi is the Goddess of knowledge, arts, science, music and technology. Saraswathi pooja is celebrated during Navaratri (September-October). Navaratri means Nine Nights. The ninth day is Saraswathi pooja celebrated along with Ayutha pooja (the worship of weapons and implements including machines) i.e. from small knife to a big vehicle….

At this day, people will clean their houses, cycles, bikes, cars… and decorate with sandal, kungumam, flowers... During the worship, they place their books and some kitchen utensils in front of the Goddess. It is considered that the Goddess herself is blessing the books and other items. I placed just 2 or 3 books and some utensils as i was afraid of my son... He will pick sharp items....

But the actual celebrations continue during the 10th day which is considered as Vijaya Dashami or the Victorious Tenth Day….

Our Life….

We know, flower and nature have different wonderful colours that we even can’t imagine… By viewing them, our heart gets lighten and our mind will be empty from worries…

Similarly, when we are playing with a child, hearing their language, we almost feel like, we became a child…. forgetting all our responsibilities, surrounding issues, etc….

Childhood life is filled with so much fun and has no burdens…. Oh God, if we became a child, then how good it will be…..

Life is like a road, for some people it’s a smooth drive, for some other it’s a rough drive… Even in rough life, there will be some fun… If we adopted to enjoy that, then life will be so happy…
