Rainy Shopping….

Yesterday, I attended my first bank exam in T Nagar (Chennai).  Since, it was my first attempt, I prepared a bit and I hope I attended well. Yesterday, rain and time are of great obstacles to me.

As my parents took care of my kid, we thought to go for purchase after the exam. We had cheese pizza, bread channa and an ice cream.

Then I bought some chudi materials and thought to stitch it there. For that stitching time, we went to visit other show rooms. We had some hot spicy corns which suited the climate very well.

Due to rain, crowd was little bit less. Rain water in roads made people difficult to walk…

We bought our dresses and returned to home… This was really fun that to after finishing exam…

Hope, you guys enjoy the snaps…

Our Dreams…

Everybody used to dream about something. Some were very common to most people.  Researchers have found that dreams of being pursued and of falling from a height are the two most common dreams. Other common dreams are flying and examinations dreams and of being naked in public.

Being Pursued

In most of my dreams, a snake will chase me to bite. It never manages to catch me as I always wake up in the terror end. My dad used to scold me, since I love to watch the snake episodes in Animal Planet/Discovery channel. Also, he will insist me not to watch this kind of stuffs while iam going to bed… If I watched any horror movie, that’s all, I surely get that dream… I can’t sleep after that…

Researchers found that such kind of dreams indicate that we are trying to escape from something, a challenge or a responsibility or emotion that we can’t handle…

Falling Dreams

Very rarely I got such kind of dreams. It represents a loss of control, helplessness, or being in danger or we fear the loss of security…

Flying Dreams

I don’t remember about such kind of dreams. But it indicates that you could be effective and competent in relation to recent event in your life...

Examination Dreams

Ha… this is what I always used to get even after completing my graduation. It’s like I will forget all my preparations while iam in exam hall or I will be late to my exam or I didn’t prepared anything while others where studied in depth and I need to attend that exam within half an hour or I didn’t finished my exam but the bell has rang….

These dreams may coincide in our life when we feel that in the coming days we may be tested and are anxious about the outcome… These are not warning or predicting a particular outcome. People who actually failed in an exam do not have such dreams. So, it assures that the person will do it successfully like they had done in school or college…

Being naked in Public

Everyone will hesitate to say that they had such kind of dreams.  Because they think that others would laugh at them.

This dream has nothing to do with sex. But it has the feeling of being exposed, embarrassed or ashamed. It indicates honesty, where the person wants to reveal something about him/her…

My Tsunami Dream

During the first tsunami incident, I got a dream like I was in my grandma’s place and my mom was cleaning some dishes outside while I found great waves coming just behind her. Iam shouting her to run, but she was coolly saying that she needs to complete her work…

When I told this dream to my mom, she said “even in your dreams iam doing my kitchen stuffs “. I couldn’t control my laughter. This funny dream made my family laugh…

Actually, I just thought of posting my dreams alone, but yesterday I read these explanations to our dreams in a paper. I thought to share with you all…

Dietary Fibre…

Actually, I was searching in the Google for the diets which helps to reduce constipation for my kid. I came across this dietary fibre… I thought it’s interesting and not only helps my son but also to me to reduce my weight…

There are two types of fibre in food, soluble and insoluble.

Soluble Fibre

It dissolves in water and forms a gel like substance in the intestine which helps the food to move through the digestive tract. It also prevents cholesterol entering our blood stream thus regulating our blood glucose levels. Obviously, helps in reducing our weight.

Oat bran, apples, citrus fruits, oatmeal and barley have this type of fibre….

Insoluble Fibre

It does not dissolve in water and moves through the intestines without being absorbed. This type of fibre adds bulk to bowel movements and reduces constipation. It also causes a sensation of being full.

Wheat and its bran, rye, brown rice, apple skin, cherries, grapes, oranges, pineapple, dates, rhubarb, melons, prunes, berries, turnips, beets, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, carrots, leafy greens, broccoli, green beans, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, corn, pumpkin and flax seeds, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, popcorn and lentils have this type of fibre…

Our Generation….

During our Granny’s period, they used to have their own medicines for most of the diseases. It also worked well. That time, there’s no pollution. They used to have healthy food though they take it in a simple way. Their lifespan was increased due to this peace environment…

But now, things have changed very far.  Our own medicines are not working on us mostly due to impurities in the ingredients. So, even for a small issue, we are in need of a doctor. Now our environment is more polluted. The food items what we get is not that much healthy when compared to our granny’s time. Our lifespan has decreased due to this machine life environment…

Now technology development is in a very high peak...  In one side, it’s a very happiest thing. But in the other side, we are slowly losing our nature in many ways…

Too much of anything will lead to issues….

Pregnancy Experience…

When I came across Lina’s pregnancy post, I thought why not I share my experience with u all…  Please, bear with this one…

Pregnancy is a very beautiful thing. It’s a very nice feel that our child is growing in our womb and we will be glowing out…

When I got confirmed, I was so happy… You know, within 8 weeks, baby’s parts will be fully formed and then its duty is to grow in size…

During my fifth month, my mom came with bangles, flowers to decorate (Jadai for my hair), varieties of rice and sweets. That’s our tradition. Mothers, Aunts, Sisters, Sister-in-laws will do the same thing in odd months (5, 7 & 9).

Above snaps were taken during my seventh month…

After fifth month, we can feel baby’s movement. One day, I kept my bro’s hand on my tummy to feel the movement. You know, he was so happy that he told all his friends about this. While taking scan, my tummy used to shake always. My doctor used to kid that my son seems to be so active…

During pregnancy time, please be happy and healthy always; don’t think about the problems too much. It will affect your child’s health. Try to be active always, so that baby too will be active. I used to go to temple and listen to music…. Pray God…

Seemantham

Seemantham is an event conducted to pregnant ladies. This will be during 7th or 9th month. Ladies will bless by putting bangles to that pregnant lady. This is for the health of that mother & child…

For me, it was during my 9th month. Hope u all enjoy the snaps…

Below one was my 2 day’s old son…
My son’s present day snap….

After heavy rain, now Sun is very bright… When I open my kitchen window around 7.00am, bright sunlight will directly hit our pooja (where we keep Gods & Goddesses Picture for praying) shelf… Also, it’s said that it’s good for the family… Iam very happy about that…

My cousin planted some spinach in our pot… I actually don’t know what it’s exactly. But to my surprise, it had some buds & a flower…  My cousin says, its pasalai keerai (Indian spinach)… I didn’t have it in net… So, if anyone knows what it’s actually, please let me know….

All for Money...

Nowadays, going to abroad has become a usual thing. Many are going for jobs, studies, and vacations or settling there. It’s a proudest thing that they are going to abroad. It’s one side…

But in the other side, they are missing their parents, brothers, sisters, hubbies, wives, sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, cousins… due to their responsibilities.

They are not able to be with their families during important enjoyable occasions or illness of any family member …. They are alone and no one is to care when they are sick in abroad (saying about family members)…

I personally miss my bro. He’s in London. He will tell he’s fine. But truly don’t know how he is…  Whether taking food properly, having good sleep or taking care of his health… don’t know…

He missed our house warming function. He can watch it in Video. But we missed him so much on that day… My mom was very hungry and thought to take dinner... That time someone remained about my bro. That’s all, mom couldn’t able to eat and felt tears in her eyes… This is what happening to most parents…..

He’s missing mom’s food, care, fun we used to have by chatting together in home… He can’t able to spend time with his nephew… I used to send photos and videos to him to keep him updated….

Our society has created a greater impact on us. So, we are forcing our kids to be good in all things, proper education, extra curricular activities, careers, their future, life, marriages…

Though they have achieved much in their life in abroad, deep in their heart they would have missed all these things... For just a second, they would have thought it…

All for Money…

Friendship....

Hands were in contact with engraved writings of Slam book
Mind travelled back in a time machine
What an evergreen days are they
Instead of listening classes we are delighted
By passing bit paper messages
Blooming love stories unveiled the secrets
Some had triumph and some not
The serious quarrels ended with a smile
Now each one became a family person
Enjoy viewing their snaps in net
Even though isolated by time
Memories are etched in our heart
Remains permanently nothing can erase it
Miss you all guys….

Chill Rainy Season…

It’s the season
When the sun itself feels shy
            & conceals behind the clouds

It’s the season
When the eyes struggle to open
            & heart bangs for sleep

It’s the season
            When the earth smells good
            & tummy needs something hot

It’s the season
When we love watch it rain
& mind remains about pending works

It’s the season
            When we become so sluggish
& hate to travel while raining

Whatever it is
We need to do our daily duties
            & life doesn’t wait for anything…

Vellore Fort Visit…

A week before my hubby’s birthday was my birthday. As I was in Vellore, we thought to visit Jalakandeswarar Fort Temple…  Lord Shiva is my hubby’s favourite God…

Vellore Fort is a large 16th century fort located in Vellore city near Chennai, in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. It was once the headquarters of the Vijayanagara Empire. This Fort is well known for its grand ramparts, wide moat and robust masonry.

The Fort's ownership passed from Vijanagara Kings, to the Bijapur Sultans, to Marathas, to the Carnatic Nawabs and finally to the British, who held the fort until India gained its independence. During British rule, the  Tippu Sultan's family and the last king of Sri Lanka, Sri Vikrama Rajasinha were held in as royal prisoners in the fort.

Also the fort houses a Christian church, a Muslim mosque and a Hindu temple, the latter of which is famous for its magnificent carvings.

Sri Jalakandeswarar Temple

“Jalakandeswarar” or "Siva residing in the water", got its name from the natural underground spring upon which it resides. This is one of the reasons why the moat has never dried no matter how severe the drought is.

In 1981, the idol was removed due to Muslim invasion and kept away from the town. It was forgotten by the generation. In 1983, a Christian missionary spoke about this empty temple. This evoked a quick response from the Vellore elites and all gathered together and promptly placed the idol and started their prayers.

The temple has a large wedding hall adorned with elegant reliefs and monolithic sculptures. The Britishers thought to loot and take this large wedding hall piece by piece to England. Latter it was dropped. The temple is now maintained by a Trust.

In the North West corner of the outer prakara, there is a well which has a stone door way opening on a point which is usually below water level. The under ground mandapa or Neerazhi Mandapa is said to lead to a subterranean passage leading to the River Palar. We used to put coins into this well. It has steps. If we put a coin, which settles on the step, then it’s said that our wish will come true.

Also, the Nandhi Bhagavaan in the outer prakara is famous. People used to tell their sufferings in to his ear by closing the other ear by hand. This indicates that, he won’t let the message to spread in air. People believe that he will directly tell our worries to Lord Shiva…

Nowadays, People used to go boating in this moat….
